Request For Preproposals for 2011

The Citrus Research and Development Foundation announces its CATP11 call for research proposals to develop solutions to manage Citrus Greening (Huanglongbing), Canker and other emerging diseases threatening Florida citrus production. New and continuing research initiatives should complement or build on the existing portfolio of research projects currently summarized in the progress reports posted at www.citrusrdf.org. Optimizing continued citrus production in groves already affected by Citrus Greening including the successful propagation of new plantings in endemic areas is a priority emphasis of this 2011 Citrus Advanced Technology Program.

The Citrus Advanced Technology Program is open to applicants from any institutional, university or government affiliation, and from any geographic region or discipline.

Interested applicants may submit a single page preproposal description of their proposed project thru October 3, 2011 as detailed in the Preproposal Instructions available at www.citrusrdf.org. After review, a list of projects selected will be posted on the CRDF web site (by October 21, 2011), inviting those researchers to submit full proposals by November 21, 2011 for consideration for funding, with notice of awards expected at the beginning of March 2012.
