Select Committee on Plant Improvement

Select Committee on Plant Improvement

The nature of a Select Committee is to assemble a group of experts to focus on a particular issue. The purpose of the Select Committee on Plant Improvement began as a fact-finding mission for the purpose of determining if we are getting to commercially satisfactory greening resistant or tolerant trees as quickly as possible. After that mission was completed and conclusions drawn, the Committee morphed into one that began to focus on implementing the findings and to advise CRDF on rootstock selections for a new rootstock field trial CRDF has in mind. Over time, this could grow into a scion trial, as well.
