Select Committee on Plant Improvement

The nature of a Select Committee is to assemble a group of experts to focus on a particular issue. The purpose of the Select Committee on Plant Improvement would be primarily fact-finding for the purpose of determining if we are getting to commercially satisfactory greening resistant or tolerant trees as quickly as possible. To this end, what approaches are the breeding teams taking, are those pathways being pursued efficiently and are there any obstacles to movement through the pipeline? It is the conversation around these questions that is, perhaps, the most important function of the Select committee and the most challenging.
